DPM to focus on non-trade issues during China visit - Nation


BEIJING: Women development, children’s affairs and disaster management are on Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s agenda during her official visit to China. During her four-day visit, Dr Wan Azizah will meet with several senior Chinese leaders, including Vice-President Wang Qishan, Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan, State Councillor Wang Yong and Chinese Commu­nist Party’s International Department director Song Tao. “She will also visit the 660-year-old Dongsi Mosque and Huawei Exhibition Centre,” Nuryante told Malaysian press here yesterday. Dr Wan Azizah will head to the National Disaster Reduction Centre where she will be shown the latest technology used by the country in countering disasters. “Her visit will make the 45th anniversary of Malaysia-China relations more meaningful,” Nuryante said.
