Karan Johar Feb. 10: Four months and Rs 112.5 crore at the domestic box office later, Karan Johar has spoken out against the "hostage video" that had paved the way for the October release of his Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. "I need to say this, and I say this with strength, that for me, my country comes first. Ten days later, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil released without a hitch, opened big and went on to become a hit. Backed by Fox Star Studio and made on a budget of Rs 70 crore, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starred Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Fawad also in the romantic equation. "I am a filmmaker and it's a commercial product... and a lot of money is invested which is not entirely mine.
