Looking at Congress vice-president Rahul, Nitish said: "Why should they set the agenda; why can't Rahul set the agenda?" Echoing former Prime Minister Singh, who had termed demonetisation "organised loot and legalised plunder", Nitish said the note recall was a "monumental management failure". Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has been at the forefront of the campaign against the note-recall. On demonetisation, Nitish said today: "Most political parties were supportive of the intended goals of demonetisation.
