Armed men have stormed an upscale restaurant in the popular Mexican beach resort city of Puerto Vallarta and abducted 10 to 12 presumed members of a crime gang. Early police investigations indicate that all involved - the kidnappers and the kidnapped - were members of criminal organisations. The gunmen stormed the restaurant on the city's main boulevard about 1am, police said. It has battled the powerful Sinaloa cartel for supremacy in other parts of the country, such as Baja California Sur.
