A complaint of cheating was lodged with the Vastrapur police station on Sunday after a man was duped of Rs 12.5 lakh by three accused on the pretext of providing work permit visa for Canada. The complaint was lodged by victim Vimal Patel, a businessman and resident of Vastrapur area. The two accused agreed to provide the visa to Patel and took documents from him. A total of Rs 12.5 lakh was given to the accused for securing a work visa. When the accused refused, Patel lodged a complaint with the Vastrapur police station.
