In a joint effort, the ATIRA and the NID have created a protective mask for the traffic police. The three-layered mask made of nanofibers will protect the cops against bacteria, virus, dust and even particulate matter. Over 5,000 masks were donated to the traffic department by Arvind Mills also costs less than the N95 and K N95 masks available in the market. "The masks cost between Rs 20 and Rs 50 as compared to the Rs 100 to Rs 300 for other masks. Once it's over, we can also look at officially inducting them in the force, making them a regular feature of the traffic cops," said Singh.
