GEORGE TOWN: Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has proposed state DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow to take over as the next chief minister. This scenario, Lim said, would take place if he is convicted of his two ongoing corruption charges. “This is to prove that DAP is not just one individual but a collective leadership that will continue the struggle whatever happens to me. “I ask the convention, our members and leaders to endorse my proposal that Penang DAP chairman Chow takes over from me as Chief Minister should BN succeed in their attacks against me. “We shall defend DAP and Penang from BN together as one team, one spirit and one party,” he told delegates at the state DAP annual convention today.
