The police said that youth near Kaatu Pallivasal Road area in the town reportedly teased women residing in the area. They lodged a complaint with the Cumbum police station demanding action against persons who teased the women. Peace meetingMeanwhile, revenue officials and the police have planned to conduct a peace meeting in Cumbum to settle the issue amicably. Police sources said that prior enmity between two sections of people had burst out into group clash on that day.
