A new group is working to get skilled migrants into appropriate jobs in Manawatū. The Network of Skilled Migrants helps people from overseas find jobs and gives them information about how to apply, creating a CV and learning about Kiwi work culture. The group has noticed migrants find it hard to get jobs because they don’t know the Kiwi culture. The group holds workshops to teach potential workers skills and runs meetings with members of the business community to build relationships.
