A truck and car have collided on State Highway 1 south of Blenheim. A person has died in Marlborough’s sixth serious crash in just over two months. A car and truck collided on State Highway 1, near the Riverlands Industrial Park south of Blenheim, about 1.30pm on Wednesday. The crash, near the Sheffield St intersection, closed both lanes of the highway for 90 minutes, with one lane opening about 3pm. The crash is the sixth serious crash on SH1 between Blenheim and Ward in 10 weeks.
