The dogs are flown 3,700 miles to Pakistan to race on illegal tracks in ­“intolerable” ­conditions with little or no animal welfare, says CAGED Nationwide. His UK owner had been Joseph Fisher – a former Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) licensed trainer at Birmingham’s Perry Barr track. He told us he’d sold the dog to another UK trainer for £600 in 2019. Dogs are normally torn to shreds, bleeding to death.”Shipping papers show another UK trainer sent dogs to Pakistan. He added: “It is not illegal to export dogs to countries with unverified welfare standards but this is not something that GBGB condones.”
