Rumours that the bakery giant is planning to relocate from Unit 38 in the shopping centre to the much larger Unit 27 have been circulating for some time. The existing Greggs shop is located in Unit 38 which is being marketed to let. A manager at Greggs in The Shires said: “We are in limbo at the moment. If the relocation goes ahead, it could provide a huge boost for London & Cambridge Properties, which acquired The Shires shopping centre in January. Sports Direct moved out at the end of August to relocate to a new unit at the nearby Gateway shopping centre.
