Picture by Vinod Kr SinghDhemaji: The environment and forest and climate change department on Friday dedicated a green park near the State Bank of India, main market area, Pasighat, constructed under the Green Park Adoption Programme, to the local residents. Pasighat forest range officer Jumgo Geyi told The Telegraph that members of the association have assured them of all cooperation for the park's maintenance. The park was formally inaugurated by the divisional forest officer, Pasighat, Tabang Jamoh, in the presence of parliamentary secretary (agriculture and fisheries) Tatung Jamoh, former minister Bosiram Siram, family members of Tamuk, members of the association and a host of officers and leaders. The atmosphere here will be definitely cooler than rest of Pasighat, which is known for its scorching heat, the duo added.
