The Green Party has selected candidates to contest two southern electorates in September’s general election. David Kennedy will stand for the party in the Southland electorate, and Rochelle Francis will stand in the Invercargill electorate. Also standing are Jon Mitchell of the NZ Labour Party, Joel Rowlands of the Opportunities Party, Judith Terrell of One Party and Victoria Hoskins-Bonham of the NZ Outdoors Party. Newcomer Liam Kernaghan will stand for the National Party, Stan Smith will stand for One Party and Robert Andrews will stand for Act NZ.
