Greek coastguards fire at Turkish ship

Athens The Greek coastguard opened fire on a Turkish vessel after it refused to dock for inspection yesterday. Authorities in Athens said the Turkish-flagged freighter refused to stop after they received an anonymous tip-off that it was carrying a large shipment of drugs. No injuries were reported and the ship returned to Turkey. The Turkish foreign ministry said there was “no justification” for the action. America and the EU have urged Beijing to allow the recently released political prisoner to choose where he wants to be treated.
