Silk-draped revenge of fired British Vogue editor Lucinda Chambers

Beware the stilettos of a fired fashionista. The machinations within — and methods of — British Vogue have been laid bare in an extraordinary interview with its former fashion director. Lucinda Chambers launched her silk-draped Exocet at the magazine weeks after being sacked amid rumours that the incoming editor was on a mission to excise “posh girls” from the fashion bible. Insiders have spoken of turmoil within the magazine since its long-standing editor Alexandra Shulman was replaced by the stylist Edward Enninful, 45, who was born in Ghana and grew up in London. It is understood that Emily Sheffield, deputy editor and sister of Samantha Cameron, the wife of the former prime minister, has told management that she is deeply unhappy.
