Crews have extinguished a small grass fire in North Dunedin this afternoon. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said they were called to the blaze, at Dalmore Reserve on Allenby Ave, Liberton about 3.30pm. Crews from Willowbank, Dunedin Central and Wakari attended. Firefighters used a "forestry pack", a lightweight hose which is lighter to handle and uses less water, the spokesman said. Police were called to assist with traffic management.
