A grass fire on State Highway 1 north of Foxton is now contained. Crews from Foxton, Himatangi Beach, Rongotea and rural crew from Manawatū and Horowhenua were called to the scene at 6.10pm. SUPPLIED/BEA WOODING A grass fire has broken out on State Highway 1 north of Foxton. Wellington resident Bea Wooding was travelling north to Whanganui when she saw the fire. State Highway 1 remained open and traffic was still flowing.
