The pair squared off face to face with Young pulling a pukana just as UFC president Dana White went to separate them. It is not the first time Young has showcased his Māori heritage on the biggest stage in mixed martial arts. All the fighters came in on weight and Silva, who is regarded as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history, struggled to hold back tears when he was interviewed on stage.
