PETALING JAYA: The government's delay in improving the condition of two federal routes in Ayer Hitam, Johor – despite promises before the last general election – is unacceptable, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong. The Ayer Hitam MP said it was disappointing that the government did not show any commitment to do anything for the FT050 federal road (Jalan Batu Pahat-Ayer Hitam-Kluang). Dr Wee also expressed disappointment that FT01 was not upgraded, citing that its level of service (LoS) did not warrant an upgrade. "The entire FT01 from Gemas to Ayer Hitam has been upgraded except for the Chaah-Ayer Hitam stretch. "Please be fair to the people in Ayer Hitam," he added.
