Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya on Wednesday said the government would ensure all sorts of humanitarian assistance for the Rohingya people. Supervising officers have been appointed for 20 blocks of Kutupalong Rohingya camp to facilitate humanitarian assistance activities, Maya said while speaking at a meeting at the Cox’s Bazar Circuit House. Maya said the government will build 150,000 sheds with the assistance of local and foreign NGOs for the Rohingya refugees. Several government initiatives on providing assistance to Rohingya refugees were discussed in the meeting. Fourteen mobile water treatment plants and seven water trucks are supplying pure drinking water to the camp round-the-clock.
