KUALA LUMPUR: The government through the National Tahfiz Education Policy is drafting four curriculum modules to be used by all tahfiz institutions in the country. Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said there was no specific standard for the tahfiz education or a streamlined system for all tahfiz schools now. He said different schools followed different syllabus based on the stream of studies of their teachers or instructors. “The government is aware that tahfiz education needs to be improved to ensure the quality of its students. The modules are Tahfiz Turath (Tahfiz Al-Quran studies with turath holy book), Tahfiz Sains (tahfiz al-Quran studies with Science subject), Tahfiz Dini (tahfiz Al-Quran with Islamic subjects) and Tahfiz Kemahiran (tahfiz al-Quran studies with skills studies module).
