DHAKA, Mar 29, 2026 (BSS) - The government has undertaken elaborate nationwide programmes to celebrate Bangla New Year 1433 under the initiative of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. As in previous years, extensive arrangement has been taken in coordination with different ministries, divisions, educational institutions, cultural organisations and local administrations to turn the Bangla New Year celebration into a national festival. Government and private television channels and radio stations will broadcast special programmes marking the occasion. Educational institutions will celebrate the day in a festive atmosphere, and Shishu Academy will arrange special programmes involving children. In addition, various creative activities such as discussions, painting, essay writing and quiz competitions will be held at various institutions and organizations.
