Tripura governor Tathagata Roy said in his Republic Day address in Agartala there was no room for violence and intolerance of any sort in India. Manipur celebrated Republic Day amid a strike called by militant groups from Thursday midnight to 6pm on Friday. He appealed to militant groups to come forward for talks. "The joining of six Naga national political groups in peace talks further bolsters this hope," Acharya said.
