Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has stressed the importance of merit and complete transparency in all the universities of Punjab. “We are striving to take our universities among top 500 universities in the world. The varsities will be completely free from political interference.”He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation led by Punjab Minister for Higher Education Yasir Humayun at Governor House on Sunday. He further said that by shifting universities to solar energy, millions of rupees would be saved annually.
