Governor Tolgos accuses Tiaty MP Kamama of funding rustlers, bandits

Tiaty MP Asman Kamama has been accused of funding banditry in Kerio Valley by leaders from Marakwet. "We have received information that [Kamama] is using CDF cash meant for projects in Tiaty to fund bandits who terrorise residents in Kerio," the Governor said on Monday. Led by area Governor Alex Tolgos, they have called for the investigation of the MP for allegedly aiding bandit attacks in the area. Kamama, who is also chairman of the National Assembly Security Committee, is alleged to be using public funds to aid Pokot rustlers in Marakwet. Endo MCA Festrus Kirop called Marakwet MPs to move a motion to remove Kamama as security committee chairman.
