This was stated by him while talking to a delegation of European Union Parliament for South Asia, led by Vice President, Hiedi Hautala, and member of European Parliament (MEP) Nicola Procaccini who called on him here on Friday. The members of the delegation appreciated the role of Pakistan for peace in the region including Afghanistan. During the meeting of Governor Punjab with the EU delegation, the current situation in the region, Kashmir issue, and peace in Afghanistan came under discussion. He said that European Union Strategic Engagement Plan (SEP) provides a solid foundation and framework for enhancing multi-dimensional cooperation between the two sides. Punjab Governor thanked the EU Vice President and other members of the delegation for extending their cooperation in the extension of GSP plus status.
