Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong and Incoming Chinese Defence Attache Major General Yang Yang called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ in Rawalpindi on Friday. PHOTO: RADIO PAKISTANChief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday reiterated the need for convergence of efforts towards a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan in pursuit of regional stability, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday. He expressed these remarks during a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong and incoming Chinese Defence Attache to Pakistan Major General Yang Yang at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. In August, during another visit to the GHQ, envoy Nong Rong discussed matters of mutual interest. Chinese Envoy Nong Rang, Defence Attache Maj Gen Chen Wenrong, officials from the Chinese embassy and officers from the tri-services of Pakistan attended the event.
