Business News of Thursday, 12 March 2026Source: classfmonline.comThe Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Yusif Sulemana, has announced that the government will soon publish details of all applications for public lands submitted between 2017 and 2024 to enhance transparency and accountability in the management of state lands. The initiative forms part of broader reforms by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, in collaboration with the Lands Commission, aimed at strengthening oversight in the allocation and administration of public lands across the country. The exercise assessed submissions from individuals, private companies, and various organisations seeking to acquire or lease government lands within the period. Sulemana added that one of the key recommendations approved by Cabinet was the public disclosure of all reviewed applications. Consequently, the Lands Commission will soon publish the list of completed and uncompleted public land applications by region to ensure transparency in the allocation of government lands.
