more-inAfter the KCR Kits initiative targeting pregnant and lactating mothers resulted in huge success, the State government is gearing up for the launch of free diagnostic tests for a host of ailments. The Medical and Health department is all set for launching the pilot project in the GHMC area with 120 primary health centres. These centres will offer 108 tests including 53 tests in association with the Institute of Preventive Medicine. Dry run for launching the scheme, designed as hub and spoke model, had been completed with fair amount of success. “We have taken adequate care to put in place bar coding, quality control and other parameters required for the scheme,” the official said.
