The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched National Scale-up of Electronic Management Information System (eMIS) for Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in a programme at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday. The eMIS is an initiative for strengthening routine health information system by using electronic devices for collecting health-related information at the field level. Under this initiative, comprehensive and interlinked electronic tools have been developed for community workers and union-level service providers under DGFP and DGHS. Nearly 3.6 million individuals have been registered in two districts in between March 2015 and February 2017 by 847 community health workers. Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mohammad Nasim addressed the ceremony as Chief Guest and State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malequeas Special Guest.
