Government allocates Rs749m for upgrading high schools


The government has allocated Rs749 million for upgrading high schools in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). A further Rs 100 million has been allocated for the establishment of the Islamabad Model College for Girls in Sector G-13/1. The government has also allocated Rs94 million for setting up a secretariat for the National Curriculum Council (NCC). As part of the ongoing schemes, budget documents showed that the government has allocated Rs500 million for the establishment and operation of Basic Education Community Schools in the country. Separately, the government has allocated Rs100 million for the modernization and standardization of a national examination system across the country.
