The Government has been accused of engaging in “skulduggery” by trying to avoid a vote on the National Development Plan and the National Planning Framework. Mr Varadkar has said politicians should not be distracted by procedure and focus on what is contained within the plan. The National Draft Plan expounds planning strategy for development over the next 20 years. He said the draft plan was approved last November. But Mr Varadkar said “the sad thing about this is the extent to which politicians from the Opposition have wrapped themselves in process and procedure”.
