China’s Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Chen Xiaodong affirmed that the Chinese Party and Government always treasure the enhancement of relations with Vietnam. The two-day event is the first activity to implement the ARF Ministerial Statement on Enhancing Cooperation among Maritime Law Enforcement Agencies. They also reviewed maritime law enforcement cooperation in Asia-Pacific and the cooperation principles, scope and measures for the agencies. He lauded the close cooperation of the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group and the Japan – Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance.
