Google has introduced two new features on Google Maps, bringing Gemini AI-powered chat and a more detailed 3D navigation system to improve travel accuracy and user experience. The new “Ask Maps” feature allows users to interact with AI in real time about various locations. In addition to voice-based commands and interaction, Google Maps has also upgraded its navigation system with a new feature called Immersive Navigation. Features Ask Maps is now available in the United States, India and Thailand on both Android and iOS platforms, with a desktop version to follow later. Meanwhile, features Immersive Navigation is currently limited to the United States, with plans to expand to Android and iOS, as well as integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the future.
