Although no specific details are available about the new VR hardware from Google, there are rumours that this would be similar to Facebook Oculus and HTC Vive. As it happens with Google products, the new VR hardware will come with a few special Google bits. Google Assistant, which is an AI built into Android phones and products like Google Home, helps Google compete with Apple's Siri and Microsoft's Cortana. Although this doesn't sound much in terms of consumer technology, there is more that is expected at Google I/O 2017. Chances are that other than VR hardware, Google may not announce anything else on the hardware side.
