Shrek comes to the little stage in Levin in an entertaining show that captures the spirit of the films (file photo). Shrek – the Musical by David Lindsay-Abaire and Jeanine Tesori, Directed and choreographed by Linda Buckley, Musical director Christine Archer-Lockwood, Levin Little Theatre, May 17 – June 1. Such a big dragon – such a small stage: If ever there was confirmation of the "big things-small packages" adage, this show is it. When the height-challenged Lord Farquaad decides to deport all the storybook characters from Duloc to Shrek's swampy domain, he creates a refugee crisis for the big green antisocial ogre. The well-organised cast copes well and the I'm A Believer finale spills over into the auditorium with plenty of enthusiasm.
