Prof Avoke is basing his reinstatement campaign on an Economic and Organize Crime Office (EOCO) report, which he says clears him of all breaches that led to his dismissal. The Committee, he explained, found key breaches against Prof Avoke and other officers – an outcome that informed their dismissal at the time. This position by Prof Avoke has been reinforced by the findings of a leaked report by EOCO which looked into the matter. The anti-graft agency found among other things, that Prof Avoke did not abuse his office, neither did he breach any procurement laws as alleged.
