Global stocks ticked higher Wednesday, even as concerns about global growth and trade, as well as the U.K.’s stuttering effort to depart the European Union, continued to weigh on investor mood. The pan-continental Stoxx Europe 600 gained 0.2% in midmorning trade, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng slid 0.1% and Japan’s Nikkei 225 shed 0.5%.
