DHAKA, Oct 14, 2023 (BSS) -The Global Hand Washing Day will be observed in the country tomorrow as elsewhere in the world in a befitting manner with the theme 'Clean Hands Are Within Reach'. Each year on October 15, the Global Hand Washing Day is observed to remind people about the importance of hand hygiene to health. President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in separate messages, today said the observance of the 'Global Handwashing Day 2023' will help create mass awareness and improve sanitation system in the country. In her message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the government has been working tirelessly for the development of public health since assuming power in 2009. In the last 14 years, 53 projects have been implemented through the Department of Public Health Engineering at a cost of about 15 thousand crores, the premier added.
