Homa Bay Governor, Gladys Wanga, on Friday, June 23, appointed journalist and communication expert Isaac Victor Ongiri as the Chief Officer of Administration and Devolution. In a gazette notice dated June 22, the county boss announced that she settled on Ongiri and other appointees after the Homa Bay County Assembly vetted them. "I, Gladys Nyasuna Wanga, Governor, Homa Bay County, appoint the listed persons to be Chief Officers in the County Government of Homa Bay for the Departments indicated upon successful vetting by the Homa Bay County Assembly," read part of the gazette notice. Journalist and communication expert Isaac Victor Ongiri Photo Isaac OngiriOngiri worked at the Nation Media Group as a senior political reporter for the Daily Nations weekly and Sunday newspapers. Besides the media, Ongiri served as a Public Affairs Specialist for the Makueni County Government and the Director of Communication for the Kisii County Government.
