After the finance bill was passed by the National Assembly, Kitui MPs affiliated with the Azimio coalition have asked Kenyans to brace up for tougher times. Speaking in Nguutani market in Mwingi West where they attended a funeral service, Kitui county MP Irene Kasalu told locals that whatever the country is facing is perhaps a punishment from God. Her words were backed by Kitui Rural MP, Bonnie Mwalika who asked Kenyans to brace up for tougher times. "The effects of the finance bill on Kenyans portrays a leader who is not concerned about the welfare of his electorate." Her counterpart from Kitui Rural, Bonnie Mwalika urged Kenyans to press on as the cost of living will yet again go up from July 1st.
