LEGAZPI CITY—A 12-year-old girl is fighting for her life at a government hospital here after she was found Tuesday in Malilipot town in Albay province mauled and sexually abused by a still unidentified suspect, authorities said Wednesday. “Nene,” not her real name, was found unconscious by residents in a grassy portion of Purok (sub-village) 4 in Barangay (village) Centro in Malilipot town. The mother of victim said before the incident, her daughter attended the dawn mass at the town center. She said she allowed her daughter to hear the mass thinking she was going with her friends. Chief Inspector Arthur Gomez, Albay police spokesperson, said the Malilipot police was conducting investigation on the case for the arrest of the suspect or suspects.
