Metro Manila’s railway transit systems will have shortened operations during the holiday season. On December 25, MRT trains would run from 6:30 a.m. to 9:50 p.m., and on December 30, the operations would run from 4:45 a.m. to 9:50 p.m., the advisory stated. On New Year’s Day, the MRT would run from 6:30 a.m. to 9:50 p.m. The announcements were made in anticipation of the low turnout of passengers in LRT-1 and MRT-3. (Note: The LRT Line 2 management said it has yet to release a memorandum on the operating hours for the holidays, an operations staffer said over the phone.)
