KUALA LUMPUR: A giant 200-metre-long screen has been set up at Dataran Merdeka as organisers make their preparations for the much anticipated Merdeka #QuranHour next week. "We are even more excited for the event after seeing them (workers) set up the giant LED screen. “On the 9th of Zulhijjah, which is the night of Merdeka, we will hold a feast after the Merdeka #QuranHour programme around 10.30pm and everyone is invited. "That night, the attendees of the Merdeka #QuranHour event are our VIPs; just forget our differences, whether you are a member of the elite or homeless, we are family." The event is also held in conjunction with World #QuranHour to be held at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Mosque at the International Islamic University from 12pm to 1pm on the same day.
