Ghana: 12 MW Rooftop Solar PV to be constructed

Southern Utilities Limited, a member of LMI Holdings, Helius Power Company plans to build and operate a rooftop solar power plant in the Tema Free Zones Enclave in Ghana. The plant will be approximately 12 MW photovoltaic to be located on the 92,000sqm roof space of Mega Warehouse owned by the International Warehouse Company, a subsidiary of LMI Holdings. Helius Power Company has invited contractors to submit proposals for pre-qualification for the implementation of the 12 MW plant. Successful contractors will be able to get involved in the manufacturing, installation process, testing, commissioning and bringing into commercial operation of the Rooftop Solar Power PV plant, Helius Power Company said. Ghana’s Minister of Information, Mustapha Abdul Hamid last year announced a Solar Rooftop Program to install around 200 MW of rooftop solar capacity throughout the country.
