Germany ditches strict rules for Brits meaning no quarantine for double jabbed

Currently travellers from the five countries are banned from entering Germany unless they are residents, in which case they have to quarantine for 14 days on arrival. Germany is still on the UK's amber list however, meaning 10 days of self-isolation are required on return from the country. (Image: PA)Those heading to Portugal need to show a negative test and quarantine for two weeks if they haven't had two doses. Double jabbed Brits must show a negative test to get into France, with the unvaccinated requiring an essential reason to travel - such as a family or medical emergency. The expected update - that fully vaccinated Brits would not need to isolate on their return from amber list countries - did not materialise however.
