Gerakan takes Pakatan to task over 'unfulfilled promises' - Nation

Party deputy president Oh Tong Keong claimed during the campaigning period for the 2008 General Election, DAP leaders promised that the toll in Sungai Nyior, Butterworth would be abolished if they came into power. "However, after the conclusion of the 2008 General Election, they said they were unable to do so with the reason of not taking over Putrajaya yet. "However, since DAP is now part of the ruling Pakatan coalition, why haven't they fulfilled this promise? "The people are feeling disappointed that despite ruling more than seven months, DAP leaders failed to fulfil their promises made more than 10 years ago," he said in a statement Saturday (Dec 29). He added even after the recent general election, the "excuse" given was to prevent race-related conflict.
