George Papadopoulos, recently released from prison after pleading guilty to making false statements in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, said Friday he plans to run for a seat in the House of Representatives. “I will be running for Congress in 2020, and I will win. Stay tuned.”Papadopoulos, who currently lives in Los Angeles, told Fox News he's looking at running in an Orange County, Calif., district. Earlier this month, Papadopoulos was released from federal prison after serving a 12-day prison sentence. Last month, Papadopoulos told “Fox & Friends” that he was even “considering withdrawing” his agreement with the government after learning “certain information.”Fox News' Brooke Singman contributed to this report.
