Genting seeks U.S. reapproval for Florida casino project - report

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 26): Genting Group is seeking the U.S.' Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) reapproval to build three 649-foot towers for a planned casino within Florida's Biscayne Bay. According to Miami Herald's report, the FAA had in 2013 approved the construction of the towers. "On Monday, Genting asked the Federal Aviation Administration to reapprove plans to build three 649-foot towers, federal records show. Genting also wants to build a marina on the property, which it bought for US$236 million (about RM1.05 billion) in 2011. The company would need a rewrite of Florida gaming laws to build a casino," Miami Herald reported.
